ONE LIE MAKES MANY
People usually tell lies because they want to hide the truth. Telling the truth may be unfavourable in certain circumstances. This makes the liar tell more lies, because only lies can come out of lies. It is not a good policy to lie because as one is compelled to add a number of lies to the first lie, it is probable that he may slip in his lying somewhere and the cat will be out of the bag instantly. In most of the cases, even if a lair is able to convince others, the truth will come out in due course making the guilt more grave and unpardonable.
