IN A LIBRARY
It is said that knowledge is like a big orchard with fruits of different kinds. To taste these fruits one may take birth again and again. This knowledge is acquired from books. The library in our locality seems to me as store house knowledge in all branches. I wish I could swallow all the knowledge contained in these wonderful books. The library has two encyclopedias. They are Encyclopedia Britannica and American encyclopedia. They have a sea of knowledge. All the subjects have been tacked. Right from literature to the latest developments in the utilization of atomic energy can be studied in these two sets of books. The topics are alphabetically arranged. All the information has been shown through graphs, pictures and natural settings. To me they are more interesting than a good novel. A large number of news papers are also there. I go through the English daily ‘The Hindu’. There are some good magazines too. The Malayalam magazines I like best are ‘KalaKumudi’. Due to lack time I am not in a state to go through the articles in detail. I wish I could be in the library for hours and hours and enjoy the books.
