The price rise has become a common phenomenon. Prices have been rising up for several years. The worst affected by price rise are the middle class people. The rise in prices of essential goods has told upon our standard of living. It is difficult for a common man to cope up with the rising prices. When people find it hard to keep body and soul together, they use underhand means to earn their living. They take to black-marketing, accepting bribes, hoarding and profiteering. In short, rising prices have led to may social evils. The poor are becoming poorer. They do not get their square meals for one time. It is duty of the government to take stern steps to check the rising costs, otherwise social and economic imbalance will crop up in the country.
