DIGNITY OF LABOUR Dignity of labour refers to the respectability of manual labour. The present day youth, unfortunately, are unenthusiastic to do some jobs. We must understand all jobs are important. No jobs are mean. We should not be averse to manual labour, if it is important and useful to us. Can we think of a day without such a labour or labourer? Ploughman, mason, scavenger, barber, sweeper, farmer, carpenter, cobbler, fruits and vegetable sellers etc are all doing work for the advantage of all and Sunday. Their service is important for our regular life. Actually they are discovering the true meaning and joy of life. It is bad if we sit idle. A n idler hardly knows what it is to live .Naughtiness starts in his mind. Our time is valuable, so we must do whatever the manual work, which will keep us healthy and happy. When we do any work, we must do it seriously and sincerely.        The life of Gandhi is a good example; he thought us the dignity of labour. He would clean, wash and work all kinds of jobs.
