HONOURING OUR ELDERS It is said that service to mankind is service to God. On the day I read it, I kept pondering about it. And the more I thought, the more convinced I became that there was no exaggeration in it! When you help someone, especially an elderly person, it naturally pleases him or her. Mother Teresa had said, “We can do no great things – only small things with great love.” A help from young boys like us would delight them, because most of the senior citizens are of the opinion that the present day youngsters do not show even scant respect to them. So, they avoid us. I am more attached to my grandparents, because they always guide me very well. Apart from telling stories, my grand pa had presented me books like, Bed Time Stories, Grand Ma Tales, Grand Pa Tales and many more. All are high moral values and at the same time, educative, entertaining, inspiring and thought-provoking. Each story not only highlights a problem, but also suggests solution to it.
