THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE MODERN WORLD
Women play a vital role in the modern world. The image of women as diversified from that of a housewife to various other walks of life. She has proved herself as a potential political leader, a radical social reformer, an efficient office manager, better businesswoman, and so on. She has rewritten the image of man as an all rounder. Her physical weakness is no longer a barrier in getting herself established in this modern world. The recently concluded international women’s conference in Beijing, China discussed various ways and means how a woman can live as a better social being. It is no longer said, ”behind every man’s success there is a woman”. But the new saying is that “by the side of every man there is a woman trying to succeed”. Today’s woman is walking hand in hand with man. She is no longer a weak creature. She is an educated lady with potentiality of carrying out even the most difficult task. Women are now taking charge of almost every field, which were denied to her in the past. Thus a woman of today is a better daughter, a better wife, a better mother and of course, a better citizen of the country.
