ANNUAL DAY OF THE SCHOOL
Founder’s day of our school is celebrated on 12 February every year. It is also stated to be the Annual Day. On this date there are different types of celebrations and joy making. Preparations are made for a long period for this function.
The celebration is started with a prayer by students. The music teacher provides the musical support with a few music instruments. It is followed by a speech of headmaster who tells about the founder of the school and praise about the qualities and achievements of the founder of the school. One or two prominent men of the city also praise the founder of the school. A large sized photograph of the founder is garlanded by a few boys of the school. A lamp is also lighted to show respect to the founder.
On the annual day there was a cricket match between the students and the staff. There was a lot of fun and enjoyment. Some aged teachers also took part in the match. Students played better than the staff. It was just natural. After the match there was a grand feast for the players.
At the end of the match there was a fine cultural show. Several students rendered songs and two students presented a piece of dance. Some other items of magic and fancy dress show were also held. All the guests, parents and students enjoyed the cultural show. It was followed by a feast to the guests, parents and artists of the cultural show. That was the end of the school annual day function.
