Milton rightly said, ” A good book is precious life blood of a master spirit, embalmed and treasured upon purpose to a life beyond life.” Francis bacon asserted that “ Reading makes a full man…”

Despite myriad means of entertainment and recreation, books continue to enjoy a prominent position. Books have been great sources of knowledge from times immemorial. Though in the present says a shift to new interests and preferences are evident, reading enjoys a unique and distinctive status of its own in our society.
